Iredell Detention Release Paths

Confirm Iredell Detention Releases

Search by last name, narrow with the other identity clues, and note the time checked. A current match supports present listing. A non-match does not say why the record left the grid.
- Match the person in P2C using name, booking agency, charge, arrest date, and available identifying details.
- Open the booking detail when reachable. Record the booking number, next court date, total bond, and any populated Release Date label.
- Check NC SAVAN/VINELink for the same person, agency, exact custody wording, and update time.
- Use eCourts Portal to review the matched Iredell case, then seek the filed order from the Clerk if its wording matters.
- When facts point to transfer, search NCDAC, the receiving jail, BOP, or ICE and allow for intake delay.
- Ask Detention Records for the actual release or transfer event if the online trail remains incomplete.

Iredell Detention Record Fields
P2C's booking-detail schema can contain identifying details, arrest date, Release Date, next court date, an image slot, charge lines, and total bond. That proves the application can hold those fields. It does not prove that every released booking remains publicly searchable from the current-inmate grid. No official online retention window or public 24-hour or 72-hour release archive was found during the research sweep.
A narrow record request should identify the existing booking and ask for the fields that resolve the custody change. Useful items include the booking number and time, arresting or booking agency, actual release date and time, release disposition or authority, bond status at release, and the destination or receiving agency for a transfer. The booking photograph should be listed separately. For a completed local sentence, request any public release authorization or calculation sheet already kept by the jail.

If the jail directs the request to Sheriff Records, the Statesville office is at 231 Constitution Lane, phone 704-878-3180, with published hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Mooresville records location is at 610 E. Center Avenue, phone 704-664-7500, with weekday windows from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Confirm which office holds the detention record.
No official fixed fee or response deadline for a jail release record or booking photograph was located. North Carolina's general rule calls for public-record access as promptly as possible. Ordinary uncertified copies are generally limited to actual reproduction cost absent another law. Ask for electronic delivery, a price estimate, and the statutory basis for a charge before staff begins work.

Iredell Detention Center Facts
The Sheriff's official jail page identifies the center as a Class Five detention facility and states a maximum capacity of 501. A 2023 official procurement document described 25 detention units and reported a 2022 average daily population of 354. Each figure describes facility capacity or dated operating context. None is a count of people released.
The jail serves more than Sheriff's Office arrests. Historical official material describes people held pending trial and those serving local sentences from law-enforcement agencies across Iredell County. A Statesville Police or Mooresville Police entry in the Booking Agency field can therefore lead to this same detention center. It does not create a separate municipal release database.
Iredell Detention Transfer Records
The Sheriff's prisoner-transport function makes a roster disappearance especially ambiguous. The Support Units description states that the team moves prisoners between the detention center and detention or correctional facilities across North Carolina. A person who is no longer displayed may still be incarcerated elsewhere.

The local record supplies the bridge to the next system. Ask for the receiving agency and transfer date when public, then verify the person in that agency's data rather than assuming the county exit was a community release.
A state commitment should be followed in NCDAC offender information. A federal pretrial pickup may require the federal court and U.S. Marshals Service path, while a sentenced federal person may appear in BOP. An immigration pickup calls for ICE's detainee locator and field-office fallback. These systems are not additional Iredell detention facilities.

Iredell Jail Release Dates
For a sentenced person, the judgment is only part of the release-date calculation. Prior-confinement credit, concurrent or consecutive terms, authorized earned credit, disciplinary forfeiture, later court changes, and other holds may affect the operative date. Iredell's published jail rules state that serious or critical disciplinary violations can cause loss of good-time credit. The public rule sheet does not provide a person-specific award ledger or full calculation.
North Carolina law caps qualifying misdemeanor earned time at four days per month, and G.S. 162-60 permits specified work, education, rehabilitation, or training reductions subject to the statute and the custodian's determination. Those rules do not justify a public date calculator. Ask the jail for its current calculated release date or public calculation record, then compare that answer with the court judgment and any other holds.
No primary source established a universal rule that every North Carolina weekend release automatically moves to Friday. The actual custodian must explain how the lawful sentence calculation and operating procedure apply to the individual judgment.
Iredell Closed Prison Warning
Iredell Correctional Center closed in October 1999. NCDAC's official closed-prisons page confirms that status. An old directory hit must not be treated as a current prison contact, release location, or second Iredell facility card.
People who were once held at that institution were moved when the state consolidated facilities. Their present or historical custody path belongs in statewide DAC offender history. The closed institution's former contact data should not be used to seek a modern release record, and later property use does not establish a new correctional operation.
Note: Iredell Correctional Center is historical and must never be treated as a second active county release facility.
Iredell Release Photo Records
The P2C detail template includes an image slot, but it may show a placeholder and the current grid is not a historical photo archive. If a released booking can no longer be reached, request the booking photograph by name, booking number, and date. State clearly that the photo is a separate requested record. A DAC offender photograph belongs to a state correctional record and should not be mislabeled as the Iredell booking photo.
Agency retention is different from online visibility. A record may no longer display on P2C while still being kept by Detention Records under applicable schedules. Protected or expunged material may be lawfully withheld. A historical image should remain tied to its source, booking date, and later case disposition because the image records an arrest event and does not establish the final outcome.
